Properties:

Light yellow powder, soluble in water and alcohol, can form insoluble compounds with metal ions such as cobalt, copper, and nickel.

Uses:

Ethyl sodium xanthate is a product with weaker capture power but the best selectivity among the series of xanthate products. It is widely used in the flotation of easily floatable sulfide ores and the preferential flotation of complex sulfide ores. When used with a sulfiding agent, it can also be used for the flotation of copper and lead oxide ores. Additionally, it is used as a hydrometallurgical precipitant and rubber vulcanization accelerator.
