Cyclopentane is a new foaming agent for rigid polyurethane foam, used to replace chlorofluorocarbons (CFCS) that damage the atmospheric ozone layer. It is now widely used in the production of fluorine-free refrigerators and freezers, as well as cold storage and pipeline insulation. With the approaching deadline for the ban on ODS stipulated in the Montreal Convention, CFCs and HCFCs products will soon be banned, and cyclopentane will surely become the protagonist in the field of polyurethane foaming agents.
