Triphenyl phosphate (TPP)

This product is a white, odorless crystalline powder, insoluble in water, easily hydrolyzed to form free phenol in the presence of moisture, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, ether, benzene and acetone, and has an ultraviolet absorption effect. It is mainly used as a flame retardant plasticizer for engineering plastics and phenolic resin laminates; as a softener for synthetic rubber, a raw material for the manufacture of trimethyl phosphate, etc.; used as a flame retardant plasticizer for cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate, a fire-resistant solvent, cellulose nitrate paint, synthetic resin, a wetting agent for roofing paper, and a camphor substitute for celluloid manufacturing, etc.
